The Blog Tour rolls on — Check out a guest post at WB32
I just did a guest post for WB32 in which I try to find a connection between the Bronte sisters and Jane Austen, Zombies and Steampunk. I’ll give you a hint — this is NOT the direction I took:
10 Best Sentences — What are your favorites?
A story on NPR led me to an entirely subjective list of best sentences in literature in the American Scholar. My favorite was from Toni Morrison’s SUTA:
“It was a fine cry — loud and long — but it had no bottom and it had no top, just circles and circles of sorrow.”
Wow! I wish I could write like that! Enjoy the whole list, here.
The Blog Tour Begins! (with a giveaway!)
I wrote a guest blog post for Acting Up With Books about the books I loved as a child. Please visit Joli’s blog and while you’re there, enter to win a free copy of Always Emily.
Who’s the better feminist? Emily or Charlotte Bronte?
I wrote a guest post for E. Kristin Anderson at Write All the Words. She does a celebration each March of International Women’s Week and this year, she invited me to participate. (For those who are new to Kristin’s blog, she also has the feature Dear Teen Me — where she invites authors to write their teenaged self a letter. Here’s mine!)
I wrote about the Bronte’s curious, possibly unique take on feminism. Check it out at Write All the Words!
